Historic Structures Conference Series Historic Roof Structures28-30, October 1999 |

The main theme of this year's conference is historic roof structures. Specific topics include: nomenclature, typology and case studies (research, execution and maintenance.) The conference will provide a forum for scientists and experts in the preservation of historical wooden roof structures and their constructive development - - the varying geometry, structure and joints for different styles referred to in the Transylvanian region as: medieval, baroque, eclectic and modern. The publication of conference papers will be available at the start of the conference, for this reason please submit the complete text of your proposed lecture (including drawing and/or photographs) and a short CV of the author(s) before 5 September 1999. Official languages of the conference
are English, Romanian and Hungarian.
